We live in a world where mostly everything we see and hear is decided upon by mass media corporations. Everything from books to movies and even the news we see on television is controlled by huge media conglomerates. There are stories and brilliant storytellers that will never see the light of day on a book store shelf. One person that will not go quietly into that dark night is Rocky Karlage.
Rocky Karlage has a vision. This vision lives by the name of Ghost Walk. Mr. Karlage has started a grassroots campaign to bring his story to the masses who ache for a great American fable filled with mystery and intense, capturing characters.
Ghost Walk is a labor of love based on Rocky’s own supernatural experiences. Rocky Karlage grew up in Ohio in a small town outside of Cincinnati. This is where Rocky first met the spirit of the little girl who has changed his life forever. She is now an intricate part of Ghost Walk.
Ghost Walk is a story set in Victorian Ohio during the 1890’s. Visitors to the story are welcomed into the world of Lane Estate. There you will meet a host of rich and captivating characters that are just dying to tell you their story. The Ladies Three, the children and the Romy Caravan are waiting to pull the reader into their world and embrace them in the dark cloak of what cannot be explained or understood. Mr. Karlage has masterfully blurred the lines between reality and the unknown.
Rocky is not alone in this grassroots journey. He has assembled a group of creative people and hardworking volunteers who work without end to bring this tale to the masses. These people believe in this vision and will not rest until Ghost Walk is known by all. Mr. Karlage is grateful for everything his hard working group has done thus far to move the Ghost Walk vision forward.
When a storyteller has a message to share with people he or she should not be silenced. Even when the door of the mass media corporations are closed the window to the grassroots movement is opened. Rocky Karlage is one person who has not been discouraged by the immensity of his journey. If anything he has grown and prospered from it. It has obviously shown through in his tale of Ghost Walk. This is merely the beginning. Many great things are on the horizon for Ghost Walk. You can learn more about Ghost Walk by visiting www.ghostwalklive.com .
We agree with the support to help Haiti, but why is it Americans in trouble do not get the same news coverage and “immediate help” that big news items cover with our politicos and celebrities? Are our own people not ‘big enough press’?
Many native reservations are suffering through this terribly frigid winter.
IF YOU LIVED HERE, THIS WOULD BE A DISASTER FOR YOU!
We are changing our status from aid to Haiti to the native reservation right now.

Meet the newest addition to the Haunted Doll Family, Isaac.
Read his history…
He is a beautiful porcelain doll that encases a child spirit named Isaac. Isaac was a drummer boy for the Confederate army in the Civil War. He was seen and resided at Beech Grove Confederate Cemetery, which is one of the south’s earliest Confederate Cemeteries and where his original owner found him. The cemetery is home to around 60 confederate graves, over 50 of them being unmarked and unknown. After having several people come to the original owner with stories of ghost activity in the cemetery she made a visit and began to investigate. She immediately felt the energy it encased. She found several spirits in the cemetery, Isaac being the first. We are proud that Issac has become the fifth doll addition to our family.
History on Isaac (as provided by his previous owner)
In order to tell you about Isaac, let me first brief you just a bit on Civil War history. The average age of soldiers was said to be 17 and up, but what many people do not realize is that often boys as young as 13 would fib on their age in order to serve (there have been reports of those even younger having served in actual combat). As well, what was known as drummer boys. These children were sometimes as young as 11 yrs old. The job of a drummer boy was to provide music, as the drums performed an important role in the battlefield communications system, with various drum rolls signaling different commands to the soldiers. The little drummer boys also helped with the cooking and care of battle camps. Big tasks for such small hands.
Now A few years back she went to the beach grove confederate cemetery and spent some time there (investigate). As she walked the cemetery, she came to a small grave. The stone was so worn she could not read the writing. Reaching down and touched it is when her vision first allowed her a glimpse of little Isaac. She saw this small child beating a drum; he could have been no more than 11 or 12 yrs old. Soldiers on horses chaotically prepared for battle…he bravely kept beating the drum as full war broke out all around him. The sound of his drum being drowned by explosive gunshots…She watched as he tried to take cover. Then his attention was drawn to a fallen soldier a few feet away from him. Isaac sat in horror as he the man bled profusely before his young eyes. He crawled from his safe spot and went to the wounded man. The soldier was much larger than Isaac and he knew it would be hard to drag him from the line of fire. He tore a piece of cloth from the bottom of his shirt, stiffed it into the bleeding hole on the soldier’s chest, and then began the hard task of pulling him to safety. He pulled with all of his might, the soldier now to weak to help him. The little drummer child bravely kept at his task even though bullets passed all around him. The soldier weakly told him to just leave him, to take cover, but little Isaac would not abandon this wounded soul. Finally, he had the soldier in the safest spot he could find, but he saw the blood flooding out of his pale body and he knew he would not make it without help. He had to find the medic. He peered out from behind the tree line and spotted him tending to the leg of another soldier. He knew he had to make his way to him, shouting or calling for him did no good in the middle of the mind numbing noise that they called war. Isaac fell to his knees and began to crawl. Keeping his head low to the ground. He reached the doc and pointed to the wounded soldier that he had hidden. The medic nodded. As Isaac began his way back to safety a bullet struck him…this little boy never made if from the battlefield that day.
At this moment, she could feel Isaac all around her. He had never crossed. He gave such a warm feeling of love. His light of pure white and goodness. She left the cemetery, but felt compelled to go back the next day. This time she took with her a doll vessel. She placed it on the grave and as she rose up, across the cemetery she caught the glimpse of a small boy peeking out at her from the tree line. He had a smile that just warmed her heart. She said aloud “Isaac this is no place for you. If you choose this doll vessel, I will take you home and you will be part of a loving family. I will not hurt you, I only want to help”. With that, she left the cemetery.
The next day when she returned, she could feel the energy in the doll vessel. Isaac had accepted her invitation. He has proved to be a very active part of our spirit family. We sometimes hear the sound of a drum. He often shows himself in the form of a shadow and he just gives off the most amazing and loving energy. Isaac never really had a childhood; war made him a man before he had a chance to fully experience being a boy. He craves love and attention just as any child would. All the owner asked is she wants him to go to a good home that is filled with love and to someone that will show him a great amount of kindness and attention.
Note: Spirits often seek out and choose dolls as their vessels to encase their energy and sometimes their spirit. This is the reason children are often frightened of them or seem to talk to them as if they were real and not only dolls. Children are much more in tune with the paranormal than the average adult and they can often see and hear spirits. The mind of a child is more open and less cluttered with everyday stresses. Sometimes the doll a spirit chooses is one that they owned before passing, sometime it is a doll that belonged to a relative, and sometime it is just one that they chose at random.

We have a new visitor to the DollHouse. Her name is Sharla.
Sharla is quite a special little doll. She is a twelve year old spirit of a girl. This girl was born into a prominent family and died in a house fire in 1902. What makes her special is her spirit was summoned by two witches in 1970 and imbued into the body of this little porcelain doll.
The two witches also have a very interesting story of their own. The sisters were born in 1908 to a poor, destitute woman. Not being able to care for them they were split up amongst family members. Millie was raised by her two aunts, Meredith and Eloise. Katherine went to live with her grandmother who lived two thousand miles away.
The two aunts were known in their town as “the weird sisters”. Some even known them as witches as when October 31st rolled around a huge festival and bonfire was held at their property. Most town folk stayed away from them and the property.
In 1926 Millie and Katherine were reunited through tragedy when a huge fire broke out at the aunts’ property that killed everyone except for the young sisters. The fire was huge and killed 127 people on the hill. But as quickly as the fire started, it was snuffed out on its own in no time to the fire men’s surprise and amazement. It couldn’t be logically explained by anyone. No one knows how the fire started but it is rumored Millie and Katherine started it with their other worldly powers because something provoked their anger. From that day on Millie and Katherine never left each other’s side.
Millie and Katherine became reclusive and secretive. They never left their house or let anyone in. All their groceries were delivered and they received strange packages from around the world. They kept their ancient works a secret to the outside world.
In 1993 the post man notified authorities that something was different at the house because of the accumulating packages on the porch. They were found dead together amidst all their strange and odd possessions from around the world. Authorities also realized they had amassed thirty million dollars in the house, for they never placed money in the bank.
In 2000 a paranormal group was called to the house by the sisters’ relatives to investigate odd happenings there. The group accumulated a huge amount of supernatural evidence from the house and the remnants inside. This is where Sharla was found.
Sharla communicated her desire to find a new home through EVP’s. This is how Tom and Traci Watkins came to possess sweet little Sharla. Sharla enjoys children and animals. She knows much about ancient magic and can see into the future. Sharla holds this knowledge because she always was faithfully by Millie’s side during spell work.
Come to the Doll House and check it. Then take part in our interactive discussion forum.
Ghost Walk Productions is pretty new in the scheme of things, less than a year old as a company, and we’re still learning some of the corporate basics. But as a story/movie project, we are now entering our 4th year. It’s been a major struggle, but don’t take this message as we’re going away. We’re not.
This blog is more of a state of the state of things. We had plans to bring you a video trailer, internet radio, a physical Ghost Walk book, and several other unannounced projects. A little thing called “no money” keeps hitting us in the face. We did our homework on printing t-shirts to which several people said they loved it! and would buy one. Guess what? Those people didn’t. Why not? You tell us. We countered with free shipping. Still no bites. People love the shirt but won’t buy to help the project they say they love? It does make one scratch his head.
We were even approached by a venture capitalist who said his company would love to fund our movie; starting at one million dollars and up, IF we had a video in hand and an investor on board. Wasn’t that why we were talking to him? We were asking for a few thousand dollars for our costume creations, site fees, technical fees, etc, but were told that is not what they do. $1 million versus a few thousand? You can fill in my thoughts with your own here.
So there it is. You wonder why we don’t move forward with announced plans at times? There are always many reasons, but people not following through is a major one. Did you promise to buy a t-shirt and didn’t? Now is the time.
We’re not beaten down and we’re far from out, but it is a frustrating time for all of us with the created money problems. I just wanted you to know “the why” when planned projects stall. We are continually adding new projects and ideas to our website and to our various information locations. If you haven’t seen The Doll House cam on our website yet, you need to visit. The girl dolls are lovely and creepy, and there have been sightings of the spirit kind. Something named “Tarothon” is coming very soon! It will surprise you. A new menu on the website is coming shortly to make those links easy to reach.
Keep visiting and keep looking. The world of the paranormal is not as far from you as you would think, as ‘the little girl’ is reaching out to have you stand by her side.
